HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE HERNIA?

There are different types of hernias, and symptoms vary. It’s best to contact The Hernia Center for a consultation. Pain may come and go, but often worsens over time – so don’t delay contacting us!

A bulge under the skin in the abdomen or groin

​A bulge that comes and goes depending on whether you’re standing or lying down, lifting a heavy object or coughing

​Pain associated with physical exertion with/without a bulge that can be dull to severe

​A heavy feeling in the abdomen, sometimes accompanied by constipation or blood in the stool

​Redness and tenderness in the area of the bulge
